| Ark
of the Heart
Long before man knew of rain, God had seen the sacred turn profane and wept. But
there was one who knew God's way, whose faith and love could never fall away God
said, Noah and your kin, build and ark and put my world within. Then the rain
will fall, rivers rise and climb the valley walls.
The rain came down for
40 days it rained for 40 nights. Lightning flashed and thunder roared, the
people all took flight. Then the water came up and swept their lives far out
into the sea, And the only souls that the flood gave up were a single family's Noah
and his kin, built an ark and put God's love within. Riding out the waves,
knowing that God's grace would see them home. For
into every life there steals a time when lightning strikes and thunder peels your
plight Of losing faith and feeling shame, when tears begin to fall like endless
rain, be like Noah and his kin. Build an ark and put God's world within. Riding
out the waves, knowing that God's grace will lead you home. So
if the rain comes down for 4o days it rains for 40 nights The lightning flash
and thunder roar, your heart is full of fright. Though the water comes up and
sweeps your life far out into the sea You'll still be safe within an ark just
like that family's. Noah and his kin built an ark and put God's world within Riding
out the waves, knowing that God's love will see you home.
